MKE Fellows recently welcomed a group of engaged and curious students from Siloah Lutheran School to ABC4PD for a special Lunch & Learn experience. Making the day especially meaningful was that the visit was led by MKE Fellows alumnus Jaylon Baker, who now serves as a teacher at Siloah Lutheran School, bringing the mission full circle and highlighting the lasting impact of investing in young leaders.
During their visit, students were introduced to real-world skills that build confidence, creativity, and collaboration. The MKE Fellows Engagement Team led an interactive session on creating an effective elevator pitch, helping students practice how to confidently introduce themselves and clearly communicate who they are and what they value. These conversations emphasized the importance of self-advocacy and using one’s voice in both academic and professional settings.
The Creatives team followed with a hands-on style branding activity where students worked in teams to create their own “style brands.” Through this fun and collaborative exercise, students explored how visuals, messaging, and teamwork come together to tell a cohesive story—while gaining exposure to creative roles and career pathways.
Throughout the day, students also learned how departments across ALIVE work together in cohesion. From engagement to creative strategy and operations, staff shared how teamwork and collaboration keep the organization running smoothly and focused on impact.
The experience concluded with a tour of the Swing Studio, where students enjoyed the golf simulator and saw how innovative spaces can spark connection and learning.
