The Sky's The Limit

New Beginnings Aviation Ministry started in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 2007 by Dr. Charles Allen. Dr. Allen, an Air National Guard who has been flying since 1979, sought to engage young people of color, at-risk youth, low-income students and those who otherwise may not have the means to learn about flying. Allen does not charge for teaching or flight time. The exams and flight school are all free thanks to donations.

MKE Fellow, Juan Hogans, a successful entrepreneur in Fashion, began the New Beginnings program in 2023 as a means to broaden his knowledge. Hogans had the foresight to believe that with the aviation skill, he could expand his business ventures. Later, he completed his instructional plan and became a Certified Private Pilot at the age of 19. 

Now empowered to give back and sow into the future, Hogans created a personal quest to provide exposure for others. During a series of weekend events, Juan Hogans took over 100 youth to the skies. Exposing inner Milwaukee to aviation, with the hope that one day they will also join him in the cockpit.
